Ports: New subsidiary dedicated to Digital Data Exchange Platform

ALGIERS- The Port Services Group ''Serport'' announced, in a statement on Wednesday, the creation of a new subsidiary responsible for the establishment, management and development and maintenance of the Port Community Platform for digital data exchanges.

ALGIERS- The Port Services Group “Serport” announced, in a statement on Wednesday, the creation of a new subsidiary responsible for the establishment, management and development and maintenance of the Port Community Platform for digital data exchanges.

“The Serport Group has proceeded with the creation of a new 100% -owned subsidiary, called Algerian Port Community System, by abbreviation APCS, whose main mission will be the establishment, management, development and maintenance of the Platform, ” specified the same source.

To this end, the draft executive decree on the operation of the platform was adopted and validated on February 17 at a government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad.

“This platform aims to dematerialize the formalities of the port passage of goods as well as the automation of the related processes”, explaine the public group.

It will integrate the electronic management of all port formalities related to the passage of goods through ports, from the announcement of the arrival of the vessel to delivery of the goods to receivers, according to the same source.
