Arkab assumes duties as Minister of Energy and Mining

ALGIERS – Mohamed Arkab assumed his new duties as Minister of Energy and Mining on Monday, replacing Abdelmadjid Attar.

Mr. Mohamed Arkab took on his new duties as Minister of Energy and Mines, replacing Mr. Abdelmadjid Attar, following the attachment of the Department of Mines to that of Energy as part of the partial cabinet reshuffle operated, on Sunday, by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

Speaking on the occasion of the handing over ceremony, Mr. Arkab tackled the priorities of the energy sector in a global context marked by the health and economic crises “which require the full mobilization and exerting increased efforts to face current and future challenges “.
