Opec-non Opec: Energy Minister to participate in work of 21st meeting of JMMC

ALGIERS- The Minister of Energy, President of the Conference of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Abdelmadjid Attar, will participate Wednesday in the work of the 21st meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee OPEC / non-OPEC, a statement from the ministry said on Tuesday.

This meeting, which will be held by videoconference, will be devoted to examining the situation of the international oil market and its prospects for development in the short and medium terms, the statement added.

JMMC members will also assess the level of compliance with the production reduction commitments of the signatory countries of the Declaration of Cooperation for the month of July, as decided at the 10th OPEC and Non-OPEC ministerial meeting held on April 12th.

The JMMC is made up of seven OPEC member countries (Algeria, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Nigeria and Venezuela) and two non-OPEC member countries (Russia and Kazakhstan).
