Sonatrach-ENGIE: LNG, gas supply agreements inked

ALGIERS – The national oil company SONATRACH and the French energy group ENGIE inked medium-long-term agreements on the sale and purchase of liquefied natural gas and natural gas pipelines, SONATRACH said in a statement.

These agreements were signed, for the Algerian side, by the vice-president in charge of the marketing activity, Ahmed Mazighi, and for the French side, by the business unit director Global Energy Management, Edouard NEVIASKI, in the presence of theCEO of SONATRACH, Kamel Eddine Chikhi, and ENGIE Deputy General Director Pierre CHAREYRE.

“Through these agreements, the two parties confirm and consolidate the long-term partnership: SONATRACH will deliver natural gas volumes in the form of gaseous gases entering the Transmediterranean gas pipeline, as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG), particularly at the LNG terminal FosTonkin, located in France, “said the same source.
