Algerian Minister of Energy expected at OAPEC meeting in Kuwait on Sunday

NEWSROOM (ADV) – Algerian Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni will participate in the ministerial council of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) to be held Sunday in Kuwait, said Friday a statement from the Ministry.

On the agenda of the meeting, the ministers will examine, according to the same source, the conclusions and recommendations of the work of the various technical commissions, as well as the evolution of the situation of the world oil market.

Friday, the barrel of Brent ended the week at 53.24 dollars. By midday, he had even equalled the lowest level ever since the summer of 2017, namely 52.79 dollars, something to worry producers.

The OAPEC, which has ten member countries, is an inter-governmental organization founded in 1968 to coordinate the energy policies of the Arab countries in order to promote their economic development.
