Despite financial crisis, Algerian State hasn't failed in its duty to build schools

Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning Nouredine Bedoui, said Monday in Saida (436 km west of Algiers) that the 'Algerian State has not failed in its duty. It has built schools and education projects despite the financial crisis the country is experiencing.'

Laying the first stone of an Intermediate Education School in the Sfid zone, in the commune of Sidi Ahmed, the minister said that the Algerian State lifted the freeze on all the educational projects throughout the national territory.

In this regard, he called for 'developing and improving the results and the performance of the educational sector,' urging the sector’s officials to make greater efforts to improve the academic results of schoolchildren.

A budget of DZD 150 million was allocated to the construction of the 600-seat Intermediate Education School, which is planned to be completed in eight months.

The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning inspected and inaugurated several projects as part of his visit to the province.
