Minister of Energy holds talks with Belgium, UAE ambassadors in Algiers

The Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni, have received, on Monday in Algiers, the ambassadors of Belgium, Pierre Gillon, and the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Ali Nasser-Zaabi, with whom he held talks about opportunities for energy cooperation, the Ministry said in a statement.

The Minister, Mr. Guitouni, and the Belgian ambassador have reviewed the bilateral cooperation and ties between Algeria and Belgium, as well as investment opportunities in the fields of energy and hydrocarbons, said the same source.

In this regard, many aspects of cooperation have been discussed, including the need to exchange experiences and know-how, notably in the integration of renewable energies into power grids, but also the marketing of lubricated natural gas (LNG) ) and mechanisms for the functioning and integration of spot markets.

As for the meeting between, Mr. Guitouni, and the Emirati Ambassador, they discussed the evolution of the oil markets and the role of producer and non-member countries of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries stabilization, in medium and long terms.

Both sides also stressed the need to intensify bilateral cooperation between both countries, in the field of energy and to explore investment opportunities, particularly in exploration and development of hydrocarbon production capacities.

They also discussed other aspects of cooperation, related to renewable energies, training and exchange experiences between both countries, concluded the statement.
