Supermodel Naomi Campbell said on Sunday that Vogue magazine should launch an African edition to recognize the continent’s contribution to a global fashion industry that has been criticized for its lack of diversity.

African Designers Pull Out All Stops For Fashion Week

If you couldn't make it to the African Fashion International's Cape Town Fashion Week, don't worry I've got you covered... You know it's going to be a great series of shows when you're greeted with free drinks. Come on, who doesn't like freebies?! This year's theme was #IamAfrica. The show celebrated and showcased exceptional African creative talent on a global stage. The show included designers from Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Senegal, Kenya, Tanzania, Congo Kinshasa and Nigeria. Fashion Show Celebrates Culture of Africa and African Diaspora

The annual Afrik! Fashion Show celebrated the fashion, cuisine and culture of Africa and the African diaspora at Duffield Hall on Saturday night.

Hosted by the Coalition of Pan-African Scholars, the fashion show featured designers from across the country who presented “modern and traditionally influenced designs” composed of “refreshing and bold African patterns,” according to the event’s Facebook page.
